About Me

I am a new creation in Christ, daily learning of this life of victory that my Savior has bought for me by His blood. Daily learning more of His glory and in turn asking and pleading with the Spirit to continue His work of sanctification in my life that I might be more like Christ, choosing to set aside my old ways and learning to yield to the Spirit.

My Interests

Jesus Christ, sharing the gospel with people, local and global missions (esp. China and India), being a youth leader, fellowship with Him and my brothers and sisters in the Lord, camping and backpacking, laughing, singing to Jesus, horseback riding, swimming, photography, adventures, outdoors stuff, nature in general, talking to different kinds of people.

I'd like to meet:

I already know Jesus, but I am so looking forward to seeing Him face to face!!! The apostle Paul, king David, Hudson Taylor, Brother Andrew, the native missionaries in India, the persecuted Church.

Music:

Caedmon's Call, hymns, old school sounding jazz and swing, country (but I'm very particular as to who I listen to because some of it is just trash), Bill Waters, Jason Gray, Derek Webb, Jennifer Knapp, LaRue, Jim Cole, Keith Green, Rich Mullins, Selah, Smithfield, The Crossing, Randy Travis, Third Day, Waterdeep, Sarah Kelly, Celtic, classical...and others.

Movies:

Anne of Green Gables, Les Miserables, Luther, most anything that is based on a novel by Jane Austen (including Emma, Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice), Finding Nemo, Elf, Love Comes Softly, and others.

Television:

Little House on the Prairie and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman

Books:

The Bible (66 books of pure TRUTH, does it get any better than that?), Hudson Taylor's Spiritual Secret, God's Smuggler, Lady In Waiting, The Case for Christ, The Case for Easter, Revolution in World Missions, Screwtape Letters, A Shepherd looks at Psalm 23, and others.

Heroes:

Jesus, Bill Waters, the apostle Paul, the persecuted Church, and Hudson Taylor.

Why is it?

Why is it that 100 years ago it was ok to use the Law of God to show people that they were sinners and in desperate need of a Savior, and now, we don't need the Law to do what it was intended to do?"T...

What what?

Yeah, I don't really have anything profound to say...more like a question. Does anyone else get tired of the mediocre?  Seriously.  I get really tired of myself and my sinful state...and the...

Famine

So, I was reading in the Word a couple weeks ago and went to a cross reference and found this verse, "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of ...
