Music, my dog Prince, the Cubs, Illini Football and Basketball, Dj'ing, road trips, as well as a thousand little things here and there that I zero in on. The thing that I most want to do is travel. I've never been anywhere to speak of other than Jamaica, and I suddenly find myself alone with nothing but time. So I'm thinking I'm going to grow some cajones, pick a spot on the map, and just go there, and see what happens. Hopefully I don't get drunk on bad booze, and wake up in a bathtup full of ice, missing some semi-vital organ.
Old acquaintances and friends from Tahoe, Springfield, U of I, and Chicago, new friends (guys and girls both) in Atlanta, and the perfect girl....well at least perfect for me.
Probably more wide ranging than most. I used to DJ clubs and house parties, playing everything from hip-hop to Trance to House (house being my favorite. That's right..HouseDJ Adam baby!). Now, I generally listen to more modern rock or classic rock. I don't like most country music, but there are a few songs out there that I seem to like...
Damn. So many. Vegas vacation. Caddyshack. Shawshank redemption. Goodfellas. Casino. Something about Mary. A Knight's Tale. Office Space (probably at the top. "I wouldn't say I've been missing it, Bob.") I'm Gonna Get You Sucka. Blow. Suicide Kings. Trainspotting. The Usual Suspects. The Professional. I'll stop here.
I go in spurts, but I'm hooked on 24, Lost, and college football and basketball. Sometimes nothing at all...music instead. Hey, the dog needs playtime, you know?
"See No Evil" by Robert Baer. "The Greatest Generation" by Tom Brokaw, which is incredible (it visits the lives of a snapshot of Americans who grew up in the WWII era), "Whirlwind" by James Clavell (Just Awesome. Fiction taking place in Iran during the Revolution in 1979). "Marley and Me" by John Grogan, about his life with his rambunctious dog. I've laughed and cried a bit because its so easy to relate. I love this book.
McGyver. The GENIUS that thought of the snooze button. My money says he worked for Sony.
