RUFF SONG MOVEMENT is the upcoming sound from Freiburg in the southwest of Germany. RUFF SONG rocks the crowd with its broad variety of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Hip Hop, Jungle and especially with its explosive and wicked re-mixes.Mark Loeffler, who studied audio engineering in Munich, and Dominik Niemand turn tunes of popular artists into another, unique dimension. For each vocal they find the perfect riddim and treat them in an ultimate way, making them sound even better than the originals. Therefore their monthly event series RUN DI RIDDIM became a big success for about four years. RUFF SONG was also invited to perform in Switzerland, France and Austria, as well as in Stuttgart, Munich and other German cities, even on the Summerjam at Cologne, Europes biggest Reggae Festival. Mark Loeffler aka SELECTA BOMBA turned Reggae maniac in 1997, when he first visited Jamaica. Infected by the irresistible beat of the island he returned home with more than 100 seven inch singles and lots of albums. He started as a Reggae and Dance Hall DJ in 1998. BOMBA was successfully smashing the dance halls in southwest Germany for about four years, before he founded RUFF SONG MOVEMENT in 2002 together with Dirk Ruppenthal aka DRUNKEN MASTER and Dominik Niemand aka MIGHTY MOEMER. Since 2004 a new face and also a second Selector belongs to Ruff Song, Benedikt Scherhorn aka Selector Ben Zion.
Dirk, the DRUNKEN MASTER (sic), nevertheless organises all events and coordinates all transactions of RUFF SONG including booking, tour management, finances and special effects on stage. The third member of the mighty triumvirate, Dominik, is the art director of RUFF SONGs entertaining website www.ruff-song.de and concerned with public affairs. As an MC he is leading brilliantly through RUFF SONGs exclusive selection of contemporary music and old time classics. The monthly RUFF SONG RADIOSHOW on Radio Dreyeckland also features the popular sounds and specials of the four Reggae Ambassadors
