When you got swag, intelligence, talent and drive, failure is not an option.
Ask 20 year old harlem recording artist Slim Dollars and he'll tell u the same. This young lyricist is no stranger to hard work and persistance toward the goal of attaining fame and riches." Where im from death and a dream are only minutes apart, so i always told myself i'd either die trying to make it or leave this earth long after i make it".By the time slim saw his 18th birthday he had already seen his share of dissapointments, losing the oppurtunities of signing with 2 major labels based in new york."I was barely goin to school cuz all i wanted to do was rap,but because i was running the streets most of the time music became secondary.I had lost my aunt then 5 friends to the streets and jail, and ontop of that my best friend was just dropped from his deal". These incidents never stopped the eager rapper one bit. It was the spring of 2006 that changed everything for the once struggling mc. He rid himself of all his previous songs and began recording new material he felt that would close the next deal offered. It was around this time that he and close friend/rapper "Reema" whom he refers to as his sister recorded "Get It", a bassy club track inspired by the party scene in harlem. The quick popularity of the song began spins from house parties to mixtapes. Word of mouth got Slim to meet with Rucker Park Announcer Boobie Smoove in which Smoove felt the track so much he had it spun throughout the whole tournament.Soon after radio requests were pouring into popular radio station WQHT FM HOT 97.1, which led to Slim receiving critical praise for the quick demand of the song on air. Add an on-air invite to join a taping of a hot 97 segment and having his single premiered by Power 105.1's late great DJ Carl Blaze and u have the makings of a blossoming career. while awaiting a major deal slim is traveling, recording, writing and working on several mixtapes. For Beats Submission or Inquries about Working with me You Can Holla@ (
