Jay's Second Album Coming Soon!!!

About Me

Jay's Bio:A native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Jay Stevens began entertaining nightclubs and hotspots around the central and southern regions of Mississippi in the summer of 2001. After picking up the guitar while in his early teens, Stevens created his unique style of finger picking by listening to genres ranging from folk, country, and rock. Now in his early thirties, Jay has added harmonica and lyrics to accommodate his guitar playing. With years of experience behind him, Stevens would write, record, and self-produce his debut album titled Rollin On released back in January of 2005. Rollin On, expresses simple everyday experiences all wrapped-up into one ball of emotion. On the album, for example, Stevens reflects upon past relationships, life on the road, and political controversy. Being the true performer that he is, Stevens has the capability of gigging smaller venues as a solo act, or playing in larger venues with a live band. The Jay Stevens Band includes the likes of Chad Edwards (percussion), Chuck Gatzman (upright and electric bass, mandolin, and rhythm guitar) and Jay Stevens (guitar, harmonica, and vocals). The Jay Stevens Band draws from many styles of music ranging from country, blues, rock, folk, funk, and some improvisation while still maintaining an original and unique down-home, southern sound. If you would like to purchase Jay's CD, Rollin' On, just use the paypal shopping cart below.
