i began to paint in new orleans a few years ago while studying jazz piano. painting moved to the forefront, but would be unthinkable without my passionate love of jazz music, from which i draw my biggest inspiration. i especially like the art of (in no particular order) francis bacon, edward hopper, lucian freud, turner, titian, caravaggio, david hockney, whistler, antonio lopez, odd nerdrum, ernst ludwig kirchner, anselm kiefer, mark tansey, eric fischl, nigel cox, many more i'll think of later... lived in vienna, toronto, new orleans and new york, and i am currently painting and exploring in cairo.visit my website, if you are so inclined. www.sonjamoser.com /
