About Me

I made this layout with help from pYzam , Look at these other Layouts!

Myspace Contact TablesThink these are hot pics? Then contact my photographer at [email protected]!!! I'm constantly reinventing the wheel- changing up the variables! The constants: I am an English major/Journalism minor. Thinking about adding Sociology or Philosophy as another major. Aside from career paths, friends, and my personality, I am a Christian. My belief shapes me.

My Interests

As already mentioned, I love to write, sing and play volleyball. I also would love to learn karate, kick box, yoga, pilates and have the discipline to finish a long distance race.

I'd like to meet:

I would to meet the Lord, so I can ask him tons of questions; but if I see him, that means I overcame, with his help, the cares of this world...:). I continually meet the next person I adore....my mother.

Music:

I love listening to Christian music. As I have found out, there are so many styles that are just as good as the music I used to shake my butt to in da clubs. Yeah, I am completely done with that. ...

Movies:

My favorite movie...Face Off w/Travolta & Cage. Love & Basketball, Something New, Brown Sugar, Bridget Jones' Diary -Am I not a chick after all? I love Happily Ever After w/Drew Berrymore and Dougray Scott (Oh, was he not fine in that movie or what?). My other favs: Notting Hill, White Chicks, Antwone Fisher Story, The other side of Heaven, The Passion of the Christ, and many others that I can't think of at this time. ...

Television:

I am soooo addicted to Hell's Kitchen, America's Next Top Model (who isn't), Project Runway, the Food Network and TLC's "What Not to Wear."

Books:

"Redeeming Love," "A voice in the wind," and other books by Francine Rivers. "Their Eyes Were Watching God," "Seraph on the Suwanee," and other books by Zora Neale Hurston. I'm starting to compile books from James Baldwin, Toni Morrison and other Influential African-American authors. When I read them, I'll let you know what I think in my blogs.

Heroes:

Jesus Christ, my ancestors who worked as slaves and fought for their rights...my rights! It is because of the two mentioned that I am where I am today - college educated and saved from sin. They make me want to be a better person than what myself wants to be.

My Blog

The tumultous battle within ensues. Are you a victim?

We constantly battle with our inner selves thinking that we can win the battle with our emotion and tendencies- innate attributes. This is rather ridiculous when you think that we are fighting with an...

What was your most defining moment?

Mine was on my 21st birthday when the weather was brisk and harsh even to the soul. The images that formed a commonplace to my senses was foreign and estranged. A fear of the unknown emerged from wi...
