Hiphop was always one of his favourite musicstyles. In the beginning there was
‘Yo MTV raps’, he often watched that show when he was a kid. Always jumping around and ‘tried’ to make some breakmoves.
Later on, at the age of 15, he came in touch with songs of Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Nas,... But in that period he also came in touch with french rap thx to his uncle in Charleroi. Here and there he got some mixtapes and compilations of the finest joints at the moment. One day he recieved a mixtape of the ‘Thee insekt aka Grazzhoppa’, called ‘Fried Up mix’ and it really blew him away. One thing was sure, if he started spinning the decks it would be hiphop in the purest form. He started to collect more tapes and albums. Thanx to the ‘Hop’, a radioshow on ‘Studio Brussel’, he started to know all the new releases and classic joints by name. Almost three years ago he began to buy some vinyls but didn’t have a proper turntable. He played his records with a very old recordplayer. In the end of spetember 2003 he had enough money to buy him some second hand MK2’s. The Vestax PMC06 pro followed a year later after playin with an old JB systems mixer...
