BOUNDARY
By Matt Hewitt
The word boundary means a point or line that represents a limit or the furthest extent of something. There are many different kinds of boundaries. Although they vary, there they are many and used daily with our lives often without us even realizing their extent and need in our life. To my own personal opinion it has more personal meanings rather then physical but yet if you analyze it far enough you will realize that they probably even out. When you refer Boundary in physical terms, usually you think of a place, object, etc. in which you can go past. It is like a limit. A gate, rope, etc. are all examples of physical boundaries. They are things that hold us in or out of a place. If you have ever seen and electric dog chain, it has an electric boundary set with lasers around a certain section of your yard, if the dog proceeds past the marked area, then it sends a signal to a collar around the dogs neck, sending and electric shock. This would be a very good example of a physical boundary; it is a point or furthest extent of something. When the dog can not pass this point with out a consequence so this would be its limit. When you are dealing with a mental boundary it can really be anything. For some people a boundary might be not eating a certain food or perhaps it is not watching TV. These would be considered boundaries that are created by a person for a person and then there are many more. Fears often cause boundaries too, say you have a fear of crossing bridges, going to the twin span is your boundary, you cant go over it, it is a limit something that can not be passed. When dealing with spiritual beliefs etc. boundaries might be what you can or cannot do according to your belief. Sometimes when you are tempted with things of this world you have to create a boundary around your life that will prevent you from doing anything that might be considered bad or against your beliefs. There can be hundreds or more boundaries that a person has, many of them are not even considered throughout the day, but yet our lives are filled with emotional, physical, and mental boundaries. Perhaps you go to the grocery store, and you get in line to check out, what prevents you from accidentally moving into another line somewhere, well usually it is the counters on either side of you creating a boundary that you can not pass so things do not get out of hand. Also as we sometimes have to find out the hard way, rules are boundaries also, and when we pass them or break them we also receive a punishment for doing so. By following the rules and regulations, we can always save ourselves a whole heap of trouble. Sometimes we just dont understand though that we need to. Rules are created for the same purpose that those grocery lines are, to keep things organized and from getting out of hand. As for being a Christian, the ultimate boundary or motivation to create good boundaries in our lives should be God and His word. The more time that we spend in His word and presence the greater and easier these boundaries are to keep. We should base our lives around what God would want us to, and this is all written down in the Bible so there should be no excuse, yet it often seems so hard to do. But as long as we know, and have a desire to we can progress and get closer to Him. We need to obey Him and follow and live in His word, if we can do this then we will be able to live a successful and prosperous life without even thinking Boundaries this and that and I dont wanna I mean there are always times when we feel like this but at least it will easier for us to do in our lives. So as for a personal goal in my own life, applying to the rules, both spiritually and in the world, I should be humble and wise in the decisions that I make, following the rules is part of life, if there werent rules then we would live in chaos and that would not be good. So sometimes we just have to suck it up and obey, but more importantly do I with a humble and good heart.
So one day I am at my ex's house, and a couple of my friends are there to. So we are just hanging out and we hear a knock at the door, when we answer it there is a lady standing there with a very sorrowful look upon her. She asks us if we can help bury her dog so me and both of my friends walk across the street and make our way through the house into her backyard (makes no difference but her house was messy, clothes everywhere) so we get there and find a huge 150 lbs dog bloated and dead by the fence, we take the shovels and start to dig and we soon find out that the ground is hard as a rock so we tell her sorry ut you will have to get someone to pick the dog up and bring it somewhere.
So as we are leaving a small pet rabbit, small white one with red eyes, catches my eye. She tells us its name is strawberry and it was absolutely amazing you could call it and it would come, the nicest rabbit ever, it started to follow me around and i fell in love.
So a day later we are back at my ex's house hangin out again, and i go outside for something, im not sure what for but a white speck across the street catches my eye again, i see it is strawberry, so i go across to try to catch it and tell its owner. As i make my way over it hops between the houses into its backyard.
So i make my way around some bushes and follow it, and in its backyard on the right side where i was, had a pickett fence so i could see strawberry sitting in the middle of the yard eating grass.
So i start to call it "Strawberry, strawberry...." and it sits own its back legs turns, looking at me and waves.
