Human creativity and originality... and juggling! This is Michael Karas, the reason I got into juggling. I met him at a juggling festival in Texas and got to see him perform live. Victor Borge, "The Great Dane" arguably the greatest piano player of all time, and a model of creativity
That magical man who lives inside of paper.
Lots of Variety... I like Hip-Hop, but not rap. I like Third Eye Blind, Better than Ezra, Barenaked Ladies and others of that ilk. I also like Brother Ali, Aesop Rock, Matisyahu and other hip-hop artists like that.
On top of that, I like to listen to music that fuses genres. Right now I'm listening to a guy named Berne from Belize, its a nice mix of hip-hop and reggae, with an island feel to it.
There is one and only one song that I wish I had never heard, just so I could hear it again for the first time. The only song that I have ever called "perfect". This song makes me feel human.
Mattafix : "Darfur Living"
Everyone always lists movies they like, or that they think are "awesome". I think you can tell much more about a person by the movies they don't like... here are the worst movies ever made:
1. Ice Harvest - what a shitty movie with no plot
2. 300 - You expect me to like a movie because its got special effects and pseudo-history?? I think guys said they liked this movie so that they would seem like "macho men", but I think the Village People had a more accurate description of these people.
3. Envy - This movie wouldn't have been bad if... no, nothing could have made this movie not bad.
4. Transformers - Yet another 2hr Corporate commercial fused with crappy one-liners and mindless special effects.
5. Any movie with Chris Kattan.
Nothing has or ever will come close to the genius that was "STELLA". Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, and David Wain are amazing comedians.
2. Boston Legal - The only show that even comes close to STELLA, if STELLA we a 100, Boston Legal would be a 99.9KDTY
3. Freaks and Geeks about Planet Radio96.5
4. Arrested Development 94.5KSMB
5. The Office 93.1
6. Curb Your Enthusiasm 93.1
7. My Name is Earl 90.8
8. LOST 90.7
9. Star Trek: The Next Generation 90.6
10. Sports Night 87
... honorable mentions include News Radio, Sesame Street, The Upside Down Show, Acceptable.tv, and SNL(would be higher, but anything that you take out Will Ferrel, Cheri Oteri, Adam Sandler and Phil Hartman only to replace with Chris Kattan and Jimmy Fallon doesn't deserve to be in any top 10... shame on you Lorne!)
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstien is the greatest book ever written, I enjoyed his other books "Where the Sidewalk Ends", "A Light in the Attic", and "Falling Up".(trivia note: Shel wrote the song "A Boy Named Sue" that was made famous by the great Johnny Cash).
I also enjoy anything by Michael Crichton, especially "Jurrasic Park", "Sphere", and "The Terminal Man".
I also like Dan Brown("Angels and Demons", "The DaVinci Code", "Digital Fortress", and "Deception Point") but he hasn't
produced anything lately.
But don't take my word for it...
Ba BUM BAMP!!!
