About Me

I don't like discrimination. I especially dislike the discrimination going on in the gay community against "types" - I am proud of my feminine side and think it meshes beautifully with my masculinity. Just for the record- going out to my gay peeps - I do NOT look at my fem side as an imperfection- on the contrary the problem lies with discrimination. After all we have been through together as a community-- after the femmy guys carried the burden for all of you for so long, how can some of you be so stinkin small minded...................................................... .......I also don't get people in our community who use the "N" word or discrimate against other minorities. Thats pretty twisted. Yeah there are assholes in every walk of life and they come in every color of the rainbow-- so don't lets try and be one of them.............................................Why not be as tolerant as we wish others to be to us????? What could THAT hurt???..............................................So, if your in a mindset to look down on your brothers and sisters because of some sterotypical bullshit- walk on by-- I put up with that shit in grade school-- and then I BECAME A MAN. I don't have time for it.

Music:

Don't know where to Begin-- you name it and I like at least some of it! You name a place I been there - go ahead name a place -- I been THERE! I been all over there! Did you know when the sun sets there it sets emerald green? Thats right! Go ahead name another place..........

Movies:

The Corpse Bride - A year after this films release it is still haunting me!....... My fovorite bits are the scenes with the Skeleton Children, and I think I figured out how they died. At first I thought it was a shipwreck drowning because of the little boys nautical costume, but after close inspection of the puppets I have come to the conclusion that they died in a fire-- their clothing has charred and burn holes on it if you look closely. The prettiest scene is when The Corpse Bride comes to the realization that she is visiting her own fate upon another, the loss of a love dream- that scene is so touching it makes me tear up! If only we all could see how our own selfishness can create negative ripples in the lives of others! This is a tale about two worlds, the living and the dead, but it really mirrors the difficulties our society has in understanding and seeing the beauty in those who are different or classified as disgusting. Beyond all the magnificent puppetry and set design, and the charming little story, is a much greater thread that really sticks with you! Its October- if you haven't seen this one RUN to blockbuster and give yourself a TREAT!------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------------------------Ghost Story- yeah it was a total departure from the book- but HEY!-- what movie isn't? - and this was a fun one! ***** Plus Alice Krige was PERFECT CASTING! Her Eva Galli character was a perfect match to the Aura of the books antagonist! *******"I will take you places you have never been, I will show you things you have never seen, and I will see the life run out of you."------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------Gone With The Wind-One of my all time Favs! Vivien Leigh brought so many levels to her performance --Unlike many actresses of her day she did alot of acting with her face - so many actresses of that period were so "botoxed" looking. Viv had moxy and you could see it in her performance--she'd use a slight facial expression to totally deepen or even flip the meaning of a line. Rhett wasn't bad to look at either-- some days you just "Need To Be Kissed Often and by someone who knows How!!" On those days why not give this film a go!--------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------The Company Of Wolves-- This one is a great freudian trip on the Old Red Riding Hood Fairytale-- it has a wonderful Aura, that has really held up over the years! The "Big Bad Wolf" is actually a werewolf and he is a Hottie! A fun journey filled with tons of imagery--- when it was released in the 80's it was banned in a number of european countries- I never really got why, but thats always a sign of greatness isn't it??-------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------Haunted Summer---another Alice Krige Film in which she plays Mary Shelley in a film about 4 famous poets/writers that spent a summer together- a season that haunted Mary enough to inspire her to write Frankenstein. This has NOT been released on DVD yet and can't be rented, but if ya get a chance to see it somehow do! ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------Howards End-- always a sucker for a grand costumed period peice, this one is especially lovely as you get to see a very young and very naked Sam West ( blonde darling of the British Stage ,and my teenage heart! Looking at him in this film makes me feel 18 all over again!)----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------Rosemary's Baby-- another one with a total atmosphere of its own--So sonvincing you can almost feel the summer heat in that apartment! And all the Yellow!-- I just LOOOOoooooVE yellow , and its the perfect counter to the later somber shades the film takes on as it moves into darker and darker territory-- Plus who couldn't love Mia in that red silky pajama suit she wears to dinner the night that bastard tries to drug her!! It's so MOD and Groovy and sways perfectly as she takes her dive! The moral of this movie--If yer gonna take a bite of that chocolate "mouse" then FINISH IT! (And Ya can't trust every old lady ya know that wears Stilettos and Polka Dots around the house!)..................................................... ............................................................ .................................

Television:

Bewitched, she had all the power and yet only used it for good--Take a Lesson! --- AMC and TCM, love those old films! You didn't have to get plastic surgery, have anorexia, be under 20, or have knockers the size of melons to be a star! -----Cheezy TV like reality crap, when I just want to UNWIND and feel good about myself!, and stuff like Discovery Channel or Masterpeice theatre when I want to be Absorbed! ----I miss the X-Files and like Medium--- I absolutely hated Frazier and The A-Team-- and really didn't like Happy Days, but loved the early Laverne and Shirley-- I think Mary Tyler Moore is DA BOMB and love anything she does as well as Mare Winningham or Patty Duke. I loved the Old Battlestar Gallactica and Love the new show too! -- I like Animal Planet and hate ESPN. I think the Golf Channel is for people that need spanked hard and often,by someone who knows how to do it-- I hated the sequel to Gone with the Wind-- and I adored the Thorn Birds.

Books:

The Lost Queen Of Egypt(out of print but I got a copy!!), Anything Anne Rice-- before she wigged out and started writing only about Jesus, The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, Alice In Wonderland and the Lookig Glass one, Harry Potter, Ghost Story, Works Of Lewis Carroll, Emily Dickenson, Shakespeares Tragedies, Tennyson...............

Heroes:

Everybody nice and nobody shitful (For Instance --anybody that voted for Bush is Shitful) Ghandi---- Mommy Teresa----Paris Langford (Whadaya mean???She wrote the Kiddle Bible you MORON!!)--- My Ronny Donny (aint none better an him!)----- My Parents (they ROCK!) ----Mia Farrow/Read her book--What Falls Away-- and see what she says about religion--------Mama Fortuna, Sure she was evil but if it wasn't for her would The Last Unicorn have had the good fortune of running into Smedrick???---Emily Dickenson - I like believing you can travel so extensivley, and open up so expansively without even leaving the house in your lifetime!!!--I am sure I'll be adding to THIS!
