He started writing and polishing his original material during the late seventies that's when Joe Jackson entered the scene. "I saw Joe Jackson at Montclair State College in the gym back in 79' and it was that intimate informal raw energy that sparked my enthusiasm and appreciation for JJ". Now Scott brings his experiences and talents to the stage with the energetic power tribute to Joe Jackson's early years with "Look Sharp".
Nick has been playing drums since the age of five. He was in his first band by age 12 playing at local schools. He has evolved into an eclectic drummer/percussionist over the last 15 years. Nick has always been a big fan of Joe Jackson's music; his jazzy rock sound and funky syncopated songs allow Nick Mancini to express his full percussion ability.
Playing professionally for two decades Mauro has played the club circuit with top cover bands and the underground scene with original projects he's a current member and founder of an original act known as Pepperstash. "My biggest influences are Paul McCartney, Sting and of course Joe Jackson".
Hal is a versatile guitarist involved in a host of different musical projects. He earned a music degree at Rutgers, while studying classical guitar, and has since ventured into jazz, rock and blues. Hal was thrilled to be asked to participate in the Look Sharp tribute project. "JJ's early band had so much raw energy and it was super tight. You can't help but have a blast playing this stuff. Gary Sanford (guitarist for JJ) raised the bar and showed off what a strong rhythm guitar player can do for a band."
