Hey everyone, my name's Jason Flower, I'm a friend of Kev and Steve from the Neos. I've taken over this myspace, and will very slowly make changes/add things. Feel free to ask me about the Neos, but don't expect me to forward every mail to them!
I'm still working on getting the Neos discography out a.s.a.p. but please be patient as its been a long haul and a lot of work! In the meantime, you can support our book (with 2xCD!!) on Victoria Underground, which Kev (Neos), Ricky (Commodes) and I (Jason) have been working on. The book and its soundtrack includes many Neos related groups; Fake Dogs, Harvest of Seaweed, Dioxyn, Sludge Confrontations, Jerk Ward, etc.

On the above link you will see the track listing for the "All Your Ears Can Hear" book and double CD on Victoria Underground 1978-84, including the Neos and 45 other groups! Its a REAL book, and the CD's are attached to the inner covers.
Don't support Neos bootlegs!!! People are making big profits, and my friends are getting nothing! If you want a CD, just email me; i still have some for sale.

Now a little bit about these teens known as the Neos...
The Neos formed in 1980 in Victoria, B.C., on Vancouver Island, an hour and a half ferry ride outside of Vancouver. The name came from characters in a Woody Allen film. This high school trio played noisy HC in an attempt to be the "world's fastest band", which at the time, they probably were. Although they gigged infrequently, they still managed to open for the likes of the Subhumans, Black Flag and Dead Kennedys (who made a fan out of Jello). They released two 7" EP's, both in 1982, on their label Alandhiscar - the 11 song "End All Discrimination" and the 14 song "Hassibah Gets The Martian Brain Squeeze." Ratcage Records out of New York City repressed the second EP following year.
When the Neos called it quits at the end of 1983, Steve and Kev continued on for another year as Harvest of Seaweed (a "recording group" only). After this, Kev started Sludge Confrontations with John from the legendary Sidney hardcore band Jerk Ward. Neos members eventually went on to play in Mexican Power Authority and the Showbiz Giants. Despite being fairly obscure, they still remain very influential, even having their songs covered by Charles Bronson, Hated Principles, and NOFX. In 1995, a posthumous 7" EP titled "Fight With Donald" was issued featuring the unreleased song 'Sleeve'.
A full discography LP is in the works by Supreme Echo Records from Victoria, including: both EP's, a MRR radio interview, 1982 demos, unreleased Hassibah session songs, lost '82 rehearsal tracks, live with Black Flag in '82, and the unknown 1983 songs for the never realised LP.
