Cycling, home stuff (there's always something to buy at Homo Depot), kayaking, camping, relaxing in the pool, reading, dinner parties, automobiles (actually, this goes beyond and "interest" into an unhealthy obsession), being outside.
Hmmm, so many interesting people in this world...1) Bill Clinton, while not perfect, led this country through some of its most prosperous times. He was one our finest presidents, no doubt, although that whole "don't ask don't tell" plan of his was (is) complete idocy. Still, I'd like to shake his hand.2) Augusten Burroughs -- author of Dry, Running with Scissors, and Sellevision (among others). His books are hilarious and his neuroses are delightful -- I'd love to have him over for dinner and talk about traumatic childhoods.3) Jon Stewart, of the Daily Show...this man could run the country as far as I'm concerned. He's brilliant, articulate, and hot...what more could you want in a leader?
XM81,82 -- I could listen all day and never get tired of that stuff. Also, old-timey country music is fun and I find myself listnening to that more and more these days.I like a variety of music, though, and find myself jumping from genre to genre (another reason to love XM).
Weeds, Scrubs, Family Guy, King of the Hill, Project Runway, Will and Grace, and my all time favorite....McLaughlin Group (it's on PBS, and I'm such a nerd). Of course, take one look at our TIVO and it's filled with HGTV shows, so there you have it.
Me Talk Pretty One Day is probably my favorite book of all time, but all of David Sedaris' books are great, as are Augusten Burroughs' books. Al Frankin's books are always a great read and I think Paul Krugman (a Princeton economist) is simply one of the most brilliant men of our time and will read anything he puts out.
