Soak it in cause the kid has Somethin for Everybody to feel.Born on March 22, 1981 in the Washington Heights area of New York City, Shawn MIMS was exposed early on to the struggles of inner city life. He searched for something greater than what he was dealt in life and found music.
MIMS break in the business came when Canadian producer Dirty Swift and his partner through Universal Records, were looking for a new track for the group Baby Blue Sound Crew. MIMS was flown out to Canada to record the hit single "Love Em All". The single was an instant success. The single sold 50,000 units attaining (Canadian) gold status in 4 weeks. "Love Em All" was also nominated for a Much Music Award, Canada's equivalent to the MTV Music Award. MIMS was blessed with the opportunity to perform three major shows in 2001, one being a benefit concert for the 9/11 victims of the World Trade Center. MIMS also took his ground-breaking performances next to multi-platinum artists such as Nelly Fertado and Shaggy in crowds of over 8,000 as tremendous experiences.
