Cycling is a passion of mine despite rarely finding time to do it. Puns, stupid jokes and cheesy riddles make me laugh. Flush toilets make me happy. I love drinking water. I like searching for four leaf clovers while lying on my stomach in the grass. Rolling UP hills. Driving into the sunset. The sound of a lawnmower. Music I can wiggle to. Making someone laugh. Swearing in German and Swedish. Laughing at myself. Singing along to songs even if I don't know the words. Smelling nice. Mass emails to friends and family. The smell of Johnson's Baby Shampoo. The way eyes change colour when the sunset is reflected in them. Sneaking into movie theatres. Upclose self-portrait photos. Making lists and losing them. Playing cards and Kubb. Being an auntie to 2 and a half dozen cuties. Sharing a glass of wine (or three) with friends. Googling long lost friends. A good cry.
You or possibly your friends.
I usually like what I hear. If I don't like it I usually stop listening.
If it can make me laugh, cry, giggle, jump, or just entertain me for a couple of hours, I'll probably like it.
Grey's Anatomy, LOST, ER, House, Heroes, Ugly Betty, Hockey Night In Canada, the News, Olympic coverage when it is on, and funny commercials all make me warm and fuzzy inside. HBO's Six Feet Under was pretty fantastic, too.
I love to read. Finding the time to do so, though, can be difficult. As geeky as it sounds, I've always wanted to join a book club. I will one day. Even if I'm the only member.
When I'm not too busy trying to believe in myself, I remember Bea - my aunt and godmother - she fought T-Cell Lymphoma and was incredibly strong despite losing the battle. She's a hero to me.
