A highly respected dancer and actor, his dynamic style and unique configurations of strength and artistry have kept him front and center on many stages of life for more than two decades. Wilborn began his professional career as a principal dancer with the world renowned Hubbard Street Dance Company in Chicago. Blending street savvy and urban sensibilities with an inherent elegance and commitment to integrity, he naturally commands the stage. As a dancer, actor, and writer, he is a force to be reckoned with; and as a choreographer, director, and dance instructor, he guides the pursuits of fellow artists with the same level of excellence and creativity he brings to his own craft. After working as a soloist, and a guest artist for multiple prestigious ballet companies, Carlton followed his internal compass to Hollywood. He quickly became one of the city’s premiere dancers, landing the position of Madonna’s pillar of strength for the Blond Ambition and The Girlie Show tours. In addition to choreographing the upcoming motion picture release Yellow, starring Roselyn Sanchez, Carlton has appeared in over twenty film, TV and stage projects, including Madonna’s documentary feature Truth or Dare, the upcoming Richard Gere movie Hoax, debut series Lincoln Heights; stage plays Blade to the Heat and The Ten Commandments; television shows NYPD Blue, The Practice, CSI: Miami, L.A. Firefighters, Fame L.A., Oprah Winfrey Presents: Tuesdays with Morrie, and Made Men; and commercials for Levi Strauss, Toyota, Round Table Pizza, Visa, Chrysler, and AT&T. Throughout his career, he has also worked with such entertainment luminaries as Herb Alpert, Natalie Cole, Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson; choreographer Twyla Tharp; legendary photographer Herb Ritts; Tony Award-winning director George C. Wolfe, and powerhouse producer Joel Silver, among many others. He recently formed his own production company, which is developing a feature film as well as its first television series. With his Treelife Publishing Company, Carlton is launching a library of inspiring and empowering books and CDs, the first of which is his autobiographically-based work “Front & Center – How I Learned to Live There.”
