Reflecting back on my life adversities, the lessons that I have endured has helped to shape me into the young woman that I am today. Now 28 years old, I am a wife, mother, and a dedicated student; who now appreciates the importance of equality by embracing society’s diverse lifestyles. I embody the Chrisitian principles that was instilled during my upbringing. Originally, from Oakland, California, now pursing my educational endeavors at California State University San Marcos, “I represent the generation that will gradually change America by embarking on a better future. Let me formally introduce myself, my name is N’neka.Our deepest fears is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fears is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world, there is nothing englightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children. Its not just in some of us. Its in everyone, and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
