About Me
I love God for the love and guidance that He has given me...all of the blessings and lessons are true gifts. I am thankful for the opportunity to speak through dance and choreography and hope that I may continue on that journey.Camille A. Brown received her early dance training at both the Bernice Johnson and Carolyn Devore Dance Studios. This led to her acceptance by The High School of Performing Arts. She also attended The Ailey School on scholarship and completed her B.F.A. in Dance at the North Carolina School of the Arts. As a performer, Ms. Brown was a member of Evidence Dance Company, under the direction of Ronald K. Brown. During her time there, she had the opportunity to perform the lead role “Mother God†in the acclaimed Grace (1999) and was a dancer on the BET Jazz documentary of Brown’s Blueprint of a Lady: The Once and Future Life- a collaboration with Grammy nominated jazz vocalist Nnenna Freelon. As a guest artist, she performed with Roger C. Jeffrey, Matthew Rushing, Earl Mosely, Debbie Allen and Dancers, Nathan Trice, Hope L. Boykin, Bridget L. Moore, Echoes Dance Company, and at The Hispanic Heritage Awards. In April 2007, Ms. Brown performed with the cast of The Color Purple in the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS benefit performance with choreography by Darrell Grand Moultrie.
