You'll never walk alone...

About Me

I'm going to make this a little less subtle because people don't seem to be reading my whole profile... I don't want 50 billion friends that I never talk to. If I don't know you and you make no effort to send me a message at all but ask to be added as a friend, I won't add you, (that includes bands) thanks. 'Friends' are made through communication, not because you want some dumb collection of icons on your page.
Okay so I guess I should actually write something of substance here rather than the jibberish I had before. Where to start? I love life.. I never get tired of looking up at the changing landscape above me.. I saw my first shooting star last year but I haven't seen one since, I live in a place where the generated light is so bright it dulls the natural beauty above.. I patted a white cow the other day, it was the first time I think I'd ever touched a cow in my life, pretty simple but I hoped for a long life so I could experience a million new moments like that, I don't think the cow understood the gravity of the situation.. I look around me and I see people who are so focused on the noise and I wonder why they can't hear the music.. Sometimes when i'm alone I'll do something then I'll stop and imagine if that action seemed real, then I wonder how much of my life I live for a silent audience.. I write a lot, a vain account of a life that is essentially only the slightest deviation from the road everyone else walks.. people like to think they're so different but really we're all pretty similar, in the end everyone says the same junk about you anyway, what a totally lovely person, blah blah blah, big smiles.. hope it was worth your time. I love life.
People say friends don't destroy one another,
What do they know about friends?

My Interests

I do a range of things with superb mediocrity... Skydiving, mountain biking, rock climbing, running, skating blah blah blah oh and I absolutely suck at surfing, but that's what it's all about isn't it? Doing things that challenge you. I just really like being outdoors, being inside on a beautiful day makes me narky. Also a big fan of football and beer, support Liverpool and Sydney FC.

I'd like to meet:

A French guy named Loic who owns a bike empire... Aside from that I guess the person who invented the three hole punch would be quite ineteresting.

Music:

Almost anything with some degree of dimension, top of the list would be emo and indie, but I'll happily do punk, rock, classical, hip hop, breaks, house, funk, electro... Actually anything but country/western, pop and metal, those genres honestly make me want to weild knives.

Bands I love include: Death Cab For Cutie. Dashboard Confessional. The Postal Service. Sigur Ros. Interpol. The Ataris. The Get up Kids. Jimmy Eat World. Funeral for a Friend. YellowCard. Something Corporate. Further Seems Forever. Midtown. Brand New. New Found Glory. Strung Out. No Use For A Name. Lagwagon. MxPx. Bright Eyes. Antony and the Johnsons. The Cure. Dappled Cities Fly. The Mountain Goats. Stephen Malkmus. Broken Social Scene. Brittish Sea Power. Architecture in Helsinki. Sufjan Stevens. The Walkmen. Damien Rice. Bloc Party. Elton John. The Flaming Lips. U2. Red Hot Chili Peppers. Matchbox 20. The Goo Goo Dolls. Missy Higgins. Taking Back Sunday.

Movies:

Movies make me daydream, I always wanted to be the kid from The Natural, then I grew up and realised what a boring sport baseball actually is.

Movies I love: When Harry Met Sally. Austin Powers. Waynes World. Primal Fear. Forest Gump. Amelie.

Television:

Television makes me lazy, exceptions to this are The Simpsons and Seinfeld which make me really super-duper lazy, I love those shows.

Books:

Books make me wish television hadn't made me too lazy to write. I love literature. If outside wasn't so breathtaking, I'd probably be a book nerd.

Authors: Haruki Murikami. Irvine Welsh. Gregory Maguire. JK Rowling.

Heroes:

Heroes make me feel substandard, bastards.

I had typed out the start to something last night at the bottom of a random email then came in this morning only to wonder what it was and close it. Were I more IT savvy I may be able to salvage it fr...

With heads of pumpkin...

Standing here in this place which teems with life and colour, a place which envelopes our senses. Here, balanced on our slither of time, a moment so thin you could imagine the slightest breeze eroding...

We have the facilities&

On the street I see a girl, she wears an electric blue, pinafore of cotton and lace; her hands are hidden in the large, square pockets by her waist. Under the dress is a crisp, white blouse with a sma...

When I was a kid I always wanted to believe in magic, even now as an 'adult' I still want to believe. I find myself enthralled by stories of make-believe worlds. Though I seldom ever read fantasy book...

Be Cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Sitting, home finally. Slight headache. Too much beer and too much sun, but you take what you can get and I know, honestly, I have the very best that there is. I don't believe in luck, good or bad...

No use for a name...

My days have regained their soundtrack; the buoyant tones of contemporary artists have sequestered my morning thoughts. Casualties, it is believed, are limited to the unread classics, which now seem t...

The infectious aroma of salmon sizzling in the kitchen permeates the virgin afternoon air of this inner city lounge room. Relaxing back into the black leather lounge I bounce my heels against the bott...

There'd be no distance that could hold us back...

I can feel the hard, short pile carpet under my feet, my body is exhausted and the slightest touch irritates and prickles my nerves. I breathe deeply, twice, trying to regain some kind of central bala...
