About Me

I am all about the idiot life. Sound depressing? Its not, its a life long journey. In a book called The Idiot by Dostoevsky he tries create a character who tries to live a perfect life - the life of Christ. What he found was that even trying to write about a character like Christ was not just hard it was imposible. My life is just like the idiot. I want to achieve this life of Christ but know it is impossible; with my greatest efforts, i fall short. And this is my life - to never live up. So thank God for Christ. With Christ I am made the perfect idiot - i am redeemed.There's the philosophy, here's the practicle...I love music, gaming, preaching, and teaching. I have a few close friends. I dont want many more. I love to read, skate and mountain bike (but not on mountains, just in the city). i have a huge desire to do great things and im told i have great ideas - i just dont know how to start.If money wasnt an issue i would work full-time helping the church understand our emergent culture and post-modernism. I am a proud supporter of things like emergent village (if you dont know what that is then you should check it out, if you do then you may have just found a friend; even though im not looking for any more.)I love life. I love my God. I will take the lessons i learn in the best way i can.

My Interests

Most recently - longboarding. Love it. I have got to get to the beach with that thing. Cycling. Reading. Teaching/preaching. Churches (evaluating/critiquing/helping). Music. And music again. Gaming (Xbox mostly and if you are on live my tag is ga2poo... lets play). Talking over coffee, challenging peoples thinking, the mind, and the thoughts of different people.

I'd like to meet:

Brian McLaren because i want to pick his brain; thank you for all your work. All the preachers and church leaders who have made cookie cutter Christianity the norm. I have things to ask you too, and thank you for giving me work.I would really like to meet president Bush because i dont think he ever seems to hear me, or the millions of others, say "huh?" simultaniously. You would think that would ring loud enough that the entire nation would hear it. Anyway, still praying for him, just a bit curious. It's getting harder sir.And lastly my grandfather. Maybe the greatest man i never knew (only based on the entire community that seems to have amazing things to say about him).
