About Me

IT'S A GIRL...IT'S A GIRL...IT'S A GIRL!!!!I'm a true-blue Kansas girl - lived here all of my life and never anticipate leaving. Rock Chalk Jayhawk! I met my husband a decade ago while in college and we've been married for more than 5 years now - he's an Air Force Brat, but his fam finally settled in Virginia - D.C. area. We have one dog, Buddy, who is spoiled beyond belief and we accepted our baby girl, Sophie's referral on August 2nd! Sophie Jee Hyeon was born in South Korea on May 3, 2006 and we will travel to bring her home in about 1 1/2 months - hurry home sweet Sophie! We are finally parents! Prayers are encouraged for our angel because she has already endured heart surgery and cleft lip surgery, but continues to grow and thrive! Family and friends are very important to me and I'm lucky to be surrounded by lots of love and support. Currently, my jobbie-job is an event planner for a non-profit agency that assists parents who have children with disabilities - a cause near and dear to my heart as my brother was born with Down Syndrome. As important as this position is to me, my last day of work is September 28th so that I can stay at home with our baby girl! Oh happy day - we have waited so long for our dream to come true!

My Interests

Running became a passion of mine as a means to running away from my problems and now, I use running to move forward. On any given Saturday or Sunday, you'll most likely find me running in charity races at various locations - Run forward, give back!

I'd like to meet:

True visionaries, honest souls with spirit to share, the wacky and the zany, lovely, trusting human beings and of course, my daughter, Sophie Jee Hyeon given to me by God and divine destiny!
