music (various stuff, see bands/songs etc), movies (again, see fave films) photography; (mainly landscape and "things", haven't really had too many oppertunities to photgraph people, they move around and are a little too unpredictable for my photography stlye at the moment).i'm a musician and have been playing bass for years, gigging on and off and generally keeping in and around live music as a sound tech/crew guy.went to the download festival this year (saturday only, none of that camping bollox). mettallica rule! then saw tool in london and they kicked major ass.i work out a bit (not in a "look at my pec's baby, do they get you wet?" vanity way but just to keep in shape.
nobody famous, i've met a few celebs over the years and most have been really cool but some of them have been real tools. famous people are just people, people from history would be too terrified of the world we'vre created to do anything other than panic and load thier shorts and since ive got abunch of friends that are pretty solid i guess i'm really aiming to meet more people like them.that's a tough one. in a nutshell, a "willow from Buffy" sort of girl. one who's intelligent, has a good sense of humour, is broadminded and has good taste in music/films. someone who's going to suggest things i haven't thought of (anything from different foods to more "private" things).in terms of looks i usually go for the short, cute, pale and curvy (not fat, sorry if that level of honesty upsets anyone but i just don't go for it) types but that's just a general trend as there have been at least a couple of tall, slim and tanned girls.i do like girls with tattoos, piercings and new rocks; the general goth/metal look but it's in no way any kind of preference/requirement.
tool, metallica, prodigy, faithless, massive attack, slayer, machine head, cat power, portishead, megadeth, mudvayne, audioslave, deftones, pink floyd, anathema, aerosmith, anthrax, miles davis, photek, roni size, perfect circle, fear factory, tenacious d, spinal tap, iron maiden, black sabbath, pantera, tori amos. too many to chose from, my mp3's waaaaaaayyyy too packed.
fight club, usual suspects, blade runner, sin city, batman begins, the dish, 28 days later, dawn of the dead, shaun of the dead, dodgeball, blazing saddles, star wars (original ones, not the poo prequals), lord of the rings (i don't play dungeons and dragons), the medussa touch, picnic at hanging rock, hellraiser, airplane (I and II), big lebowski, napoleon dynamite, i heart huckerbees, fahrenheit 911, jfk. there are others, i'm a movie addict so i just can't remember them all!as you can probably tell, they're mainly boy films. i saw amelie and chocolate and fell asleep through them both so i guess i have no tolerence for chick flix!
spaced, black books, csi(vegas and miami, NY just doesn't work for me) criminal minds, never mind the buzzcocks, QI, monty python, nypd blue, documentaries (geek alert!), music channels, battlestar galactica, family guy, top gear (even though i can't drive! i'm a tv junkie
chuck palahniuk's books, hitchhikers guide series, da vinci code (doesn't everyone?!), the works of dashiel hammett (serious hard boiled detective action from way back when!)not a great devourer of books, short attention span.
heroes are just people and are thus open to the same failings as the rest of us. i therefore raise no one up to a position of hero because at some point they're going to fail you in subtle and spectacular ways. be your own hero by achieveing what you want to in the best way possible with the minimal amount of harm and hassle to others.give to charity, eat healthy and ethically. if we all did this we could all save the world and then we'd all be heroes like those people in the movies only for real.
