Hi I'm Karen. People describe me as bubbly and always up for a laugh but also a good listener. 19 year old Karen Emms has always lived in Wivenhoe. Karen is a bubbly sociable young lady with a respectful nature. Karen has just finished her National Diploma in Music at the Colchester Institute which she passed with a Triple Distinction. Karen is now currently studying for a BA (Hons) Music degree. Karen is currently working on grade 8 piano and grade 7 singing. In July Karen got a merit for grade 6 oboe and passed grade 7 theory of music. Karen is continuing to learn church organ and starting to learn saxophone. Karen is a reliable hard working individual who is always open to new ideas and opportunities, such as playing the Coventry Cathedral organ, being an extra in a film, playing the principal girl in The Wivenhoe Pantomime and dancing for the mayors charity show. Karen loves dancing and has been involved with ballet, tap, disco, modern and jazz over the years. Karen also sings regularly in St Mary's choir/ Singers, In summer 2005 she joined The Colchester Youth Chamber Orchestra and the Wivenhoe Youth theatre. Since then she has also joined LYNX and The Wivenhoe Gilbert and Sullivan society. Karen's ambition is to be a performer, instrumental teacher, play in an orchestra and meet lots of interesting people whilst learning more about The Music Industry.
