Hi everyone and welcome to my web site. I guess I’m supposed to tell you the story of how I got started and who influenced me, maybe I’d impress you with someone I played with or blah, blah, blah. The truth is I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my lucky stars that I’ve been given the talent to make my living with music. I thank every creature great and small who have allowed me to grace the stage with them. I am a performance junkie. I love to play whatever sounds good to my ears. I find it very logical in the course of a weekend to begin by playing Beethoven and finish with African influenced pop. The fact that the bass is my weapon of choice is inconsequential. If I were stranded on an island I would make a drum kit out of coconuts and sea turtle shells or try to stretch the cords on my hammock in order to get some tones. I believe that music has the power to heal and unite. A great composer can take us on a journey and a great player can make us realize that there are no limits. I encourage everyone to increase the volume of music in their lives, not just in sound but in amount. All I can hope for myself is constant improvement and continued immersion in the art that I love. More than that it’s as they say in Spain, “Si Dios Quiere.” True Love,Tommy
