Cameron began playing alto saxophone at the age of 11 in his middle school band. While in junior high, he began playing his horn regulary at church. In high school, his band director introduced him to jazz. Cameron took his jazz influence and mixed it with gospel. He then began to create a buzz in the area and began performing at several churches, concerts, weddings, and other social events. After high school, Cameron was awarded a full tuition scholarship to Arkansas State University, where he majored in instrumental music education. It wasn't long after that when he became the lead soloist in the college jazz band. Cameron is currently teaching in the Memphis City Schools as a band director. He performs with several jazz and gospel groups around the mid-south area.Cameron's purpose is to simply bring change through the message of music. He always states that music is a universal language that is understood by everyone. Most importantly, Cameron will always tell you that his gift is always submitted to God.You also can find Cameron online on yahoo or msn under the screen name camsax.Education: Osceola High School-Osceola, AR
