Pitcha Brick or Pitch (for short) is a 22 year old male-Latino always trying to expand his capabilities in effort to get a record deal. Being born in Dominican Republic and then having to the move to The Big Apple to start a new life with his mother, older sister, and older brother was a little challenging. He first lived in Washington Heights, where predominantly Dominicans reside and tropical music such as Merengue and Bachata got a lot of play. He then moved and lived for a couple of years in an apartment in Harlem, where predominantly African- Americans reside and everywhere you went they were playing Hip-Hop. Around this time Pitcha starts to become more interested in the whole Hip-Hop culture. He started by writing raps and rhymes just for fun during his high school years, where he met, Pilz and Dirty Get-Inz, whom he later formed a rap group with called The Profit$. The Profit$ werent committed at first, but then they started to take music more seriously and started approaching their goal with a more business-like perspective. They started booking their own studio sessions, contacting producers for beats, performing at school talent shows and other open mic events. They did this for a while, until a little after graduation when they decided to go their separate ways because a member signed a management agreement involving him and his cousin. Pilz no longer raps, he now manages Dirty Get-Inz. On the other hand, Pitcha took upon other challenges in his lifetime. Influenced by his native language, Spanish, Pitch began writing songs in Spanish and recording them over Hip-Hop instrumentals (from Dr.Dre, Eminem, G-Unit). Creating an NYC-based Spanish Hip-Hop style that not only talks about life in the fast lane, but also talks about real-life situations that the average Latino comes across living in such a crowded city. Being bilingual and being able to write, read, and make music in both English and Spanish is a great advantage because it really expands your sense of creativity. It gives you the option to blend the two languages together attracting two different crowds instead of only one. With a unique voice and a style of music like no other, Pitch tries to give his listeners a better understanding of what living in NYC as a Latino in his prime feels like. By being able to write and record over rhythms such as Hip-Hop and Reggaeton, Pitcha brings a bag full of goodies for the next generation.
