Idle hands are the devil's tools

About Me

I'm a spaz. I'm a good girl for the most part, but anyone that has seen me near a bottle of tequila has probably seen the horns out. It's been rumored that I dance on tables to "Girls, Girls, Girls", but so far no one has been able to prove it! ;) The rest of the time I'm like any other fool my age working anywhere near entertainment...just trying to live to fight another day (or planning a new career). Enjoying the downtime as it comes.
I think I'm a good person and very loyal to those I consider my friends. If I let you in, you're golden. Hurt me however, and you're out. No questions asked, no do-overs. I don't deserve that, and I won't put up with it. I'm not a "hottie" but I get by with what I've got...at least I'm stacked. I'm probably also a nerd but I revel in it...you're getting me for me. I'd hang out with me. I'm a big fan of the goofballs of the world, because laughing makes everything better. "No regrets, that's my motto...that and everybody wang- chung tonight" And if you know what movie that's from you get 10 bonus points.
Turn Ons: Puppies hugging unicorns flying over rainbows, men that actually look like men, 5:00, and leaving town - the further the better. I appreciate a good smart ass.
Turn Offs: The aforementioned velour, Tony Danza, Spiders. If I ever ran into Tony Danza wearing a velour tracksuit while throwing spiders it would be all over for me. Idiots, jackasses and people that call repeatedly and don't leave messages. Guys in skinny jeans. People that waffle while walking in front of me. And Michael McDonald...ENUNCIATE! GAH!

My Interests

I like music, I like books. Sometimes I like boys and sometimes they piss me off. I don't mind watching sports, especially hockey and baseball. I have an unhealthy fondness for Effen Black Cherry Vodka, good tequila and spicy food. I like being goofy and I like laughing. I'm very good at both. But I don't like velour...seriously, don't even get it near me.

I'd like to meet:

Definitely Jon Stewart and Mike Rowe. And most recently Lee Pace. He makes me swoon a little. People that make me laugh until I shoot a beverage through my nose. Maybe you. Let's hug.

Music:

U2, INXS (with Michael, not this faux INXS crap), Van Halen, Sammy Hagar, John Mellencamp, Norah Jones, The Donnas, Imperial Teen, SOiL, Rob Zombie, L7, Babes In Toyland, RoadWhore, Lady Antebellum, The Lost Trailers, Garbage, 80's Hair Metal, 70's Arena Rock, Flogging Molly, Chris Cornell, Peter Gabriel, Queen, Otis Redding, Classic Motown, Leona Naess, Keith Urban, Keith Anderson, Voodoo Chili, Material Issue, Shelly Fairchild, Jeffrey Steele, Aerosmith, Madonna, AC/DC, The Wreckers, Miranda Lambert, Marc Broussard, Sarah McLachlan, Ramones, Jellyfish, Slunt, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joan Jett, Janis Joplin, Velvet Revolver, Dierks Bentley, Brian Setzer, Foo Fighters, Pat Green, Motley Crue, Adam Ant, Sugarland, The Notorious Cherry Bombs, Liz Phair, Shivaree, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, The Beatles, oh hell I'll give anything a spin once. My music collection spans all music far and wide!

Movies:

I LOVE funny movies. I also love classic movies. And really anything that involves John Hughes, Kevin Smith or goofy yet lovable Brits. I will also watch anything with muscle cars driving to classic country or classic rock (i.e. Cannonball Run, Smokey and the Bandit, Dukes of Hazzard). I LOVE it. I will also quote The Sweetest Thing and Drop Dead Gorgeous until you are ready to toss me out a window.

Television:

The Office, Simpsons, Family Guy, Lost, My Name Is Earl, Dirty Jobs, Top Gear, Ghost Hunters, Law and Order reruns of any kind, any cooking show, anything on Discovery Channel and nearly anything on the History channel, Travel channel or National Geographic channel. Anything to cram more useless knowledge in to my skull that can be whipped out on really odd and sometimes socially awkward occasions.

Books:

I love books. All books. Except Faulkner...I have issues with that man.

Heroes:

My heroes are my mom and dad, anita roddick for having a really great vision, pretty much anyone actively fighting to make the world better, and ferris bueller. I would also like to be Jennifer Nettles when I grow up.

The End of Monthly Current Obsessions and Project 365

I've decided to stop blogging my monthly current obsessions.  I hated forcing things in busy months or months when I really just hadn't come across anything interesting.  It had a good run, ...

Current Obsessions - March

The never ending winter has left me crumpled and defeated.  I have nothing to say other than Top Gear on BBC America is the funniest show on television.  It’s a car show, but it’...

Current Obsessions - February

I didn't think this would happen this month.  I absolutely detest February and I'm constantly amazed at how the shortest month seems to drag on 3 times longer than any other.  Snow and ice a...

Current Obsessions - December

Rather than blog about what I already own and love...I thought I would take a self-indulgent moment and make my fantasy christmas list.  Things I would only get if money were no object or I was s...

Current Obsessions - November

Someone (I'm looking at you Charlie) asked when I was going to post my November obsessions, and I replied I had been too busy, no time for new obsessions.  After I thought about that for awhile I...

Current Obsessions - September

September has been busy. I mean CRAZEEEE busy.  With no fewer than 20 things coursing through my brain at any given moment it's been hard to think about anything for a few minutes, much less deve...
