I'd like to meet:

I'd probably most like to meet successful people in each career field I'm interested in, so I can ask them questions and get a feel for which one I should choose. Hmm . . . I guess I'd also like to meet the person I'm supposed to spend my life with. Ah. . .how friggin' corny.

Music:

Fall Out Boy; Get Set Go; Jack's Mannequin; Ben Harper; The Killers; The Vines; The Hives; Cake; Journey; John Mayer; Rachel Yamagata; Low Millions; Lucinda Williams; The Frey; Steven Fretwell; Sarah Blesko; Ludacris; Pharell; Eagle Eye Cherry; Eve6; Outkast; The Doxies; Witch's Hat; Black Eyed Peas; The Doxies; Ani DiFranco; The Hackensaw Boys; Yonder Mountain String Band; Remedy; Comatose; Nada Surf; Ok Go; The Donnas; Four Star Mary; Emiliana Torrini; Stellastar; Stereophonics; My Chemical Romance; Chevelle; Michelle Branch; Tyler Hilton; Save Ferris; Letters to Cleo; Lynard Skynard; Queen; Coheed & Cambria; The Clash; The Wreckers; Bethany Joy Lenz; Jason Mraz; me in the shower or on a road trip!! And of course, the list goes on and on - but those are the ones I can think of right now.

Movies:

Okay, seriously, this is where my inner chic flick and bad movie lover arises. The Patriot; Ever After; Old School; Little Women (the newest one); The Butterfly Effect; Sweet Home Alabama; Just Like Heaven; Top Gun; A River Runs Through It; Legends of the Fall; Tombstone; Dirty Dancing; The Notebook; Mr. & Mrs. Smith; Just Friends; Gone In 60 Seconds; Gladiator; Braveheart; Armageddon; The Parent Trap (the old one); all of the Harry Potter movies; all of the Matrix movies; Titanic; Never Been Kissed; 10 Things I Hate About You; A Walk to Remember; Pretty Woman; all of the Die Hard movies; all of the Lethel Weapon movies; Pulp Fiction; Runaway Bride; Dream a Little Dream; The Sweetest Thing; Anchor Man; both Charlie's Angels movies; Bruce Almighty; Dodgeball : An Underdog Story; The Day After Tomorrow. Pretty much anything with Will Patton, Bruce Willis, Jason Isaacs, Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller or Drew Barrymore - I'm down. Oh, and I'm SUPER addicted to scary movies, but I'm so terrified that if you saw me watch one, or talk about one, you might seriously die of laughter. That's how ridiculous I really am - but I can't stop!! I have to watch them with other people at somewhere other than where I live, and there has to be at least two or three hours before the time I go to sleep, and something funny to watch afterwards to take my mind off of it, and no one who is going to scare me while watching it, cause I will really scream - LOUDLY. Ask someone who's watched one with me, it's a true story.

Television:

Okay, let's just get the laughter off of our chests right now for those who know I'm addicted to corny television shows on the WB - past and present and more than likely, future as well. Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Roswell, Smallville, Charmed, Popular, One Tree Hill, Dawson's Creek, and I'm sure there might be one that I'm not remembering right now. Then, there are the other great shows I watch - Grey's Anatomy (my fave!); Friends; Family Guy; Bones; CSI; Convicted; some of the HGTV and TLC shows where they redecorate crap; and I'm actually working my way off of TV, so really, the only one I absolutely watch all the time is Grey's Anatomy. Oh, and I love the history channel. Nerds are us.

Books:

Now anyone who REALLY knows me, knows that books are my life (son withholding). I LOVE to read. I've been homeless before, and I got rid of everything except my books, that's how much I love to read. And it's not just that, books teach us so much and they leave imprints behind of people who have come and gone. I know that you can find anything on the internet now-a-days, but books are books. The smell of an old book, or a new book for that matter, is just wonderful. You can't cuddle in bed with a good 'computer' and fall asleep reading on a rainy day. Laptop or not. I really can't name every book or author, so here are just a few. Isabel Allende; Jane Austen; Homer; Laurell K. Hamilton; Laura Ingalls Wilder; any true crime book; Dean Koontz; Stephen King (only when I either have roommates or I'm visiting my parents - read the movie section); Dan Brown; Gustave Flaubert; William Shakespeare; Edgar Allan Poe (same as Stephen King); Patricia Cornwell; John Grisham; Charlotte and Emily Bronte; Tom Clancy; Robert Frost; Charles M. Schultz; Dr. Seuss; Charles Dickens; Frank McCourt; Ernest Hemingway; Louisa May Alcott; Jane Green; anything to do with history, forensic science, Hitler, Jack the Ripper or ancient Egypt; comic books; classified ads; my friends' MySpace pages; the backs or side panels of food containers (thanks Jenna); instruction manuels to the endless children products I must buy; lyrics to songs I like; notes friends and I used to pass in school; yearbook messages; National Geographics. Do you get me yet? I read a lot, the end.

Heroes:

There are so many people who are historically great, that it's hard to say, but I do know that Benjamin Franklin was hot shit. lol Really though, the first thing I thought of when I saw the word heroes, was Super Heroes. Yep, that's right. I'm talking Superman, X-Men, the Green Lantern, Batman, you know it! I'm a secret comic book dork, I love comic book heroes and villans. If I were to really say hero though, it'd be a single mom who's making it on her own and providing a good life for her kid - oh wait, that's me.
