About the band...
Their initial idea was to take Kate's Folk induced lyrics,
distorting and twisting the ideas with trippy, cut n paste beats and electronic wizardry from Matt.
We have since seen them developing there styles further,
creating a hybrid of sonic delights
The Stem Project seek to demolish genres, finding inspiration from a vast selection of musical styles, (to name a few...)
Electronica, Folk, Soul, Breakbeat, Trip Hop, Electro, Folk, Dub and Jungle.
The duo fuse provocative, soulful vocals with imaginative beat programming, Matt threads intricate melodies/deep basslines and a twist of glitch!
Their eclectic, sexy electronic sound continues to penetrate the minds of those simply not content with mainstream music
Since the release of their debut album available from their website (paypal coming soon!) they have been adventuring into the harder, more twisted side, listen to some of the tracks off their NEW ELECTRO/BREAK E.P coming out soon...
They will also be releasing a third ALBUM in the near future, more details to follow...
They wish to play in more venues all over the country, and reach out to a wider audience.

playing venues up and down the country, also including some of the most talented local artists; Jay et Al, rude_NHS, Unwanted Oscillations, Micro.com and Hiphop Turntablist/Producer Chuckie Steel_
