Well...things have changed again. Told you that they would!! LOL I'm still with UPS but now I've been promoted to what is called OMS supervisor. Basically I'm in data corrections. Correcting address and names on the packages days before they come into the hub. I love it!! Not to mention the raise that came with it!! I get to dress up now for work. That's awesome!!!

I've started to see someone. Its still new so we are taking our time. So far we aren't rushing anything. Taking it one day at a time! All I know is that he makes me very happy!! I'd like to think I do the same!!

I'm feeling old this year. My oldest daughter just had her 18th birthday. Never thought I would make it this far on my own. If it wasn't for my kids to pull me though I dont know how I would have made the last couple of years! Thank you kids!!!

Well..be good or be good at it! HEHE



Here are some of my favorite movies...of course all of Rob Zombie's movies especially Halloween. House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects was good too but Halloween trumps it out!

From there I love Wild at Heart. I love how sexy the movies is and Nicholas Cage can rock my socks anytime!!

From there I'd have to say Triple X. I think that Vin Diesel's body is to die for!! God... all of those muscules.

Let's not forget Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers and Fight Club. Those are three blood baths!! I'm sure there's more but these are the ones that come to my mind right now!!

This is my wonderful father. The first man I ever loved!!

Below you will see a poem I wrote about my father after he died quite unexpectedly January of 2006. I'd like to explain the poem a little so it will make sense to you or you might be able to appriecate it a little more.

When I was first born my daddy used to race circle track race cars. I was fine just sitting in it. Playing with the steering wheel. Well...I was until he cranked it up. I would scream bloody murder.

From there my dad became an airplane pilot. He would fly me and my little sister to see my grandmother in SC. One time when she was still a baby we went up to see grandma. We got up to cruising speed and all of a sudden I'm being drenched from my sister's baby bottles. The pressure got to much on the bottles pushing out the milk. He would also be able to tell how good his landings were if she keep on sleeping. If she woke up then it was a bad one.

Next came fishing. We actually had been fishing since I was little probably around 4. I have a pic somewhere where we are posing with my first fish. And it really was almost as tall as I was. Once I got older he got into a bass club and we fished a few tournments. I got a trophy too!!

Just as I get out of high school we found out that he had lung cancer. He had part of it removed and Thank the Lord he lived.

Before I was born he went to Vietnam and came back a totally changed man. He developed PTSD. After many years of search for peace from that he found the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club. The club turned his life around. He found help and learned to deal with his feelings of guilt over his part in the war. His brothers in the club helped him heal.

So there you have it. Now you can read the poem for yourself. I welcome any comments anyone might have about it.
My Father

Tears of sorrow fall down my cheeks
As my heart begins to shriek.
Because my daddy died today
To ride his Harley through the pearly gates.

A man of many skills.
A Jack-of-all-trades.
But he couldn't resist the call
that the lord of speed made.
Behind the wheel he was the king.
As he raced toward the checkered flag.
Too bad the sound of the engine scared me
and made me scream and run like I was mad.

He took his family to new heights.
Flying us though the night time skies.
Just dont forget to loosen the lids on the bottles
Or you can expect to get a squirt on your collar.
And when it came to landing
We all looked to Melissa.
If she slept like a baby that she was
We knew it was successful.

He once was a great angler.
A Gordon Fisherman of his time.
I still smile with fond memory of the day
We posed with my first fish that was as tall as I was.

Then our lives changed.
Cancer touched our world.
But thanks to the grace of God
He was spared and brought back to us.

Wondering aimlessly, unsure of what he would find.
He finally found the place he was searching for.
That one place he could never find.

With brothers from one side of our great country
to another his injured heart began to mend.
And with the wind in his face and his brothers by his side
He learned how to live again. He found a new way to fly.

Now his search is complete.
He is in a better place.
But I don't want to forget to thank.
All the brothers who brought meaning to his life.

 This is a poem that I had published in a book. I had a friend whose husband was going away to fight in the war. I was so sad for her that I wrote this. I submitted it in a poetry contest and it was chosen to be published. I hope you enjoy it.

A Lovers Prayer

Please Dear Lord watch over him.

My father was a member of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycyle Club, before he passed away quite suddenly. We need to remember where we came from and all of the men and women who died to give us the freedom that so many people these days take for granted. Thank a vet!! POW/MIA You will not be forgotten!!
This is a tribute to my grandmother. She gave me the love of nature. And to see the beauty in a rose. I miss her so much.

I'm so excited!!!

I'm so excited. My son won 4 tickets to go see the Jacksonville Jags vs Dallas Cowboys. He has been doing really good in school and a major food chain here donated tickets to all of the home game...
