First show December 31, 1983, Metroplex, Atlanta. Recorded first 7" March 1984; released self-titled 10-song 7" June 1984. 1000 copies were pressed (175 of 'em have a yellow cover; others are white). Toured east coast June '84: Charlotte NC, Durham NC, Norfolk VA, Richmond VA, Pittsburgh PA, New Brunswick NJ. Recorded four songs on Labor Day '84 at home studio of Nick Jameson (engineered Foghat's "Slow Ride"). One of these ("Ashes to Ashes") appeared on R Radical's International PEACE compilation. "Ashes" and "Blind Patriot" finished our career as a hardcore/thrash band inspired by DRI, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, etc. "The Knife That Cuts So Deep" signalled our progression toward uptempo hard rock inspired as much by ACDC as Black Flag. (The 4 Labor Day tracks were later released along with a re-issue of the first 7" as a double 7" in 1990. 2000 copies were pressed.) Played anywhere in Atlanta that would have us: Metroplex, 688 Club, Larry Tee's Celebrity Club, The Exit, Club Co-Conspirator. Summer '85 added Shawn DeVine on 2d guitar. During '84 and '85, played with Dead Kennedys, Kraut, Corrosion of Conformity, HR, Adrenalin OD, DDT, DRI, 86, Government Issue, and others. Recorded "Drawn In" (aka "Savior") in December '85; master tapes lost (cassette we made at the session is all that's left). The other tracks - never recorded - that would have appeared alongside "Drawn In" on our first LP would have included "Crush," "Cop Song" (aka "One Day"), "Graveyard Mist," "Menacing Skies," "The Mask," and "Aimless Days." (All of these songs exist on various cassette recordings of live shows). Returned to original 4-piece lineup in January '86. Played final show in Feb '86, opening for Circle Jerks at 688. Reunited December 2004 for one gig at The Earl, Atlanta and two gigs in January 2006 at Star Bar and Eyedrum, Atlanta. Danny, Randy, and Jimmy played in Gardens Of... (late '80s). Danny played with the Go-Devils, early 90s. William played with AVOC (Awareness Void of Chaos) circa '82-'83; Bl'ast, '86-87; Final Offering (with Mike Dean of COC on bass and Greg Psomas ex-DDT on drums) '87-88; No Walls late 80s/early 90s; Madfly late 90s; currently singer/guitarist/songwriter for LA-based Comes With the Fall and lead singer of Alice In Chains. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ______ CHECK OUT JIM & DANNYS NEW BAND
