Beth

Hi all, I'm Beth (maiden name Smith). I was born in Norfolk, VA, went to elementary - high school in Norfolk, Carrsville, and Windsor, VA. Got my degree in psychology at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. I have worked extensively in child care/special needs child development, and hope to do so again in the future. Right now, I am unable to work due to a chronic medical condition, Fistulizing Crohn's Colitis. I have been out of the career loop for last few years, undergoing numerous surgeries and intensive treatment for my Crohn's disease. My last surgery was an ileostomy reversal in February, following internal skin grafts due to fistula activity. Currently in a flare even on all my meds. ;( But I am still living the good life in North Carolina with my hubby Glenn (April will be 5 years of wedded bliss!!!), and our rotten little pound puppy, the amazing Elly Belly! Glenn, Elly, and I presently make up our cozy little family, though we do hope to foster children sometime in the future. I also have a wonderful & amazing relative (possibly blood relative, possibly thru marriage), whose Native American name is "She who cannot be named". SWCBN is a great gal and I am so proud to have her as my friend! Anyhow, that's all for now, but there may be more to come. Have a wonderful day!
