DJ Keith Costello started to DJ in 1992 after finding a love for house music and the rave scene. Over the years his talent and knowledge has grown. His first DJ'ing experience in the club scene was at Liberty's Nightclub, Bolton, back in 1994, playing a large selection of piano classics. In January 1995 he played uplifting house at Southside Nightclub in Shaw, Oldham, and working alongside AL-X who had past spots at Angels, Burnley. Southside gave Keith and AL-X a small back room on a Friday night to start with. The opening times for the club were 10pm to 2am, every Friday night. This continued for five months, in which time the small room that they were DJ'ing from was recieving more attention with their selection of house music from the public than the main room itself, which at the time was playing commercial and chart music. In the view of their popularity, Southside then offered them both to become the new main room residents on Saturday nights. This became a huge success having regular guest DJ John Harlow from Insomnia at Home Nightclub,Manchester. The choice was made by the promoters to help push live PA's, and there choice was to book chart toppers at the time "Clock". They were in the top 10 of the national charts at the time of the PA, alongside a guest appearance from DJ David Dunne (Kiss 102 Radio, now of Hed Kandi). This turned out to be a sell out event and ended up being a very successful night. DJ Keith Costello was then asked by promoters of "Sallys" to make a guest appearance for them in the summer of 1996 at The Underground Nightclub, Ashton-under-lyne. Keith followed up some more appearances for this promotion in and around the New Mills area. Keith then approached the promoters of Legends Nightclub, Warrington in the summer of 1996 and was soon snapped up to become their new resident. Here Keith was able to play a full selection of different styles of dance music, from house, trance and classic's at the end of each month. When Keith first started at Legends Nightclub, Warrington it was very quiet for most of the night, but in the summer of 1997 things started to change. Week by week the club was filling up and eventually found himself playing to crowds of 500 plus people every week, without the help of a big named DJ. Following on from the successful nights, DJ Keith Costello was asked to help in the promotion of a special night at Legends, Warrington. Forum was a new up and coming promotion who asked DJ Keith Costello to be resident and play alongside regular guest appearances from DJ Bowa (Life, Bowlers, Wigan Pier) and DJ Welly (Life, Wigan pier). While all this was going on DJ Keith Costello was resident for a promotion called Fresh, which held nights at Yesterdays nightclub, Wilmslow, playing uplifting vocal house. The Forum promotion team then released a baby brother promotion, named Envy. Envy promoted two nights at The Blue Note, Todmorden, with DJ Keith Costello, DJ Bowa and DJ Welly. Envy found themselves moving from venue to venue, their next stop was The Phoenix, Manchester. Again with DJ's Keith Costello, DJ Bowa and DJ Welly. DJ Keith Costello then put his mixing mind to rest while he focused on the promoting side of the club scene. Keith spent 2000-2003 seasons in Ibiza as a Public Relations Manager for super club Godskitchen, a job he was very proud of. Keith's promotional skills did not stop there, as he was part of the Lashed team in Ibiza (DJ Lisa Lashes), where his position again was Promoter/Public Relations Manager for Lashed in 2004. DJ Keith Costello has also spent time on the ski slopes of Andorra in the resort of Soldeu, where he was the Saturday resident at the Pussycat. DJ Keith Costello was the resident for three winter seasons at the Pussycat and played regular spots at the Aspen bar, Soldeu to. DJ Keith Costello has also been able to play in New Zealand, in and around Queenstown. He was able to share his vocal house style at Debajo (Queenstown),Surreal (Queenstown), A1 (Wanaka) and a guest appearance on local radio station "The studio" on DJ Clint James show.
