About Me

After four years running, Trial by Error has come a long way in defining who they are as a band. Hailing out of Lincoln, Nebraska the foursome has continued to grow locally, and evolve musically since their start in 2000.
"Don’t ask us what we sound like," drummer Brandon Filbert said. "Come listen to us and you decide."
"We have a lot of elements to our style," frontman Jeff Tinnean stated. "It’s just [that] we like to explore. You can’t really throw us in a specific category right now, and I hope you never can. It’s aggressive, it's rock and it’s all about finding new methods to music. I mean, you can come to our shows, and I guarantee you’ll leave with one song you enjoy. Trial by Error has spent the last four years working toward new angles and styles to where you could almost put them in a category of their own. With a set that ranges from songs such as "It’s So Good", Trial by Error’s long running love song, to "Raise the Fist", a powerful melodic metal song with politically strong lyrics, Trial By Error creates a sound that is without a doubt no duplication of anything out right now... more
