About Me

I have always loved music. It's a big part of my life. I started playing piano at age 7, and I'm always constantly trying to develop my skills. I traveled all over the country for about 8 years playing and jamming with a lot of great musicians. I have since settled down trying to live the normal life, safety man by day and musician by night. I formed Dasharound Studios in 2001. It is a small home based recording studio. I've worked with a lot of local bands and musicians that have used it to record demos and original works. I also write original material, and I've posted some of it here. Take a listen and give me some feedback. Thanks for visiting the site.

Influences: Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Joe Sample, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis,
Sounds Like: Its hard to pin down the music to a certain style. I listen to a lot of smooth jazz, and some of the my music is influenced by artist such as Brian Culbertson, Norman Brown, etc. I grew up listening to a cross between Herbie Hancock and his acoustic jazz and funk music, but also the rock side with groups such as Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, etc. I am more jazz/fusion oriented and the music will probably reflect that.
