About Me

I'm a mom and grandma of 4. Semi-retired and living with my sweetie in paradise, here on the central coast of California. Born in East LA, raised in the San Gabriel Valley, later moved to south LA, worked in Lynwood-Compton. BIG-D!! Roque Alexander, where are you?? I've lived in Palm Desert, San Fernando Valley, the central coast, the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Sacramento, down to Long Beach, and back to the central coast. I like it here BEST! Still know my way around LA (go Lakers!), and have never lost my LA driving skills. Don't get down there much anymore...except for my LA eating tours. Every once in a while I crave a "Hat" pastrami, a Phillipe's beef dip, some El Tepeyac taquitos smothered in guacamole, El Gallo's pan dulce and handmade tortillas. Yum! Then I trek the 3.5 hours down with whoever is willing to pig out with me. Sadly, although I live in paradise, everything shuts down here at 5 and there's not a lot of choices when it comes to food. So when I get back to the big city...look out!
