About Me

I play, and have played music all my life. I started playing guitar at 6. Shifting briefly to violin in middle school, I returned to my first love the guitar. Originally influenced by the lightning fingers of Roy Clark, my teens began the investigation of all things guitar that continues to this day. I like Jazz, Rock, Fusion, Blues, Country, and Zydeco. I've played in a bunch of very different groups over the last twenty-five years or so from Hard rock with Eleven (real name- predates Spinal Tap by three years) To Country with Julie B. & Bullseye, Jazz in '98 With Chants Of Rain to Classic Rock with Rock Garden in '99. In 2001 I joined up with Trip Wamsley, Richard Bourk, and Mike Dolan in a group called New Electric India, or Cement Mixeror whatever it was called. We wrote and recorded some really cool stuff. Somewhere along the line I fell into the Zydeco groove, by pure chance, and met Willis Prudhomme. I became the Guitarist In Willis Prudhomme's Band in the fall of 2001. One of my first gigs with Willis was playing at the Boozoo Chavis Memorial Festival on Labor Day, 2001. Poncho Chavis must have liked what he heard, as I was asked to play the CD release party for Boozoo's final album- Down Home On Dog Hill. I have played at the New Orleans Jazz Fest 5 times with Willis. I'm still working toward completing my album project, hopefully this year. It should be interesting. In addition to playing Guitar, I've made quite a reputation as a Guitar and Amp tech as well. Im a total gearhead when it comes to Guitars, and the stuff they plug into, be it Effects or Amps, I usually know something about it. I have Endorsements with Curt Mangan Strings and X2 Digital Wireless, as I believe they each are the best products of their type.

New Wireless Solution

I hate cords. No, not chords, cords. I think Nicola Tesla had a great idea for power distribution-broadcast it like radio. That's what The Wardynclyffe Tower was about, his method for electrical power...
