About Me

SUMMER UPDATEI seem to only bother getting around to changing this every 6 months or so. I'll be honest, it's because I'm lazy. That and I liked the old angel picture. So, out with the magic card pictures, the super nintendo survey, and the morals of early '07. Onward and upward to some Gamecube, Lego's, and any other randomness I decide on. This, for example:
I'm planning on re-assembling all of the Harry Potter Lego's I've collected, figuring out which sets I'm missing still, and parting them out so I can buy them without spending ridiculous sums of money. For those of you who made it this far through the paragraph, the translation is "I'm a dork, and I'm going to spend a bunch of time holed up in a room playing with toys." You know, I'm really ok with that though.
Then, once the Harry Potter stuff is done, I'm going to begin on creating some Final Fantasy sets of my own design. I'm going to make some Chocobo's, Magitek Armor, A town with all of the shops and a Crystal Room, An Airship, and the castle with the bad guys in it. 4 elemental ones, and one ringleader (in accordance to tradition). So if you're interested in joining me for some good olde fashioned Lego fun, let me know.
I've finished book 7, and have added it to the re-read-a-thon. I can't wait to read it again, it was very well done.Re-Read-A-Thon Progress

Book 5: 000 / 870 H
Book 6: 000 / 652 H
Book 7: 000 / 759 H
Total: 1085 / 4100
In other news, I'm still at the cave. Not that I have any intention of leaving. Just a matter of fact. I've been learning bits and pieces of SQL and Perl to get further along there. blah blah blah, -insert technical drivel here- I just like being in that stupid cave for some reason. My car gets covered in limestone, there's always a haze from the fumes of all the trucks going in and out, and I barely get to see the sun... but I like it. The job, the people, the schedule, the time off available, and the constant temperature of being underground. Temperature is very important to me... does that make me 80?And Dammit, where is Avatar Season 3!? I'm warning you Nickelodeon, don't you pull a Fox on this one or I will be forced to travel to Florida and do evil things to your studio that may or may not involve a truckload of Peanut Butter, a goose, a roll of duct tape, 7 clocks, and a weed whacker. You've been warned.

My Interests

Video Games, Roleplaying Games, Board Games, Collectible Card Games... basically, does it end in "Game"? I randomly enjoy drawing/painting, playing with legos, writing, hanging with friends, watching movies... I'm up for about anything.

I'd like to meet:

well, anyone really. Preferably those with similar interests and who want new friends, but whatever. I'd love to find people who play Magic, though not a requirement. Send me a message, say hi.

Music:

My music taste is very random (just ask Cheryl). I like the vast majority of music that exists... though I am not a big fan of much rap or country.
Music in my car, in no other order than what disc they are on the changer:
1. A Fall Out Boy mix CD courtesy of K10. We've discovered that I don't like their 1st album.
2. A mix CD of Cartel and Building Rome
3. My own personal 'Best of' Linkin Park CD.
4. A music sampler, also courtesy of K10. She's trying to broaden my horizons. It's a good cd, I rather like the 'Liar' song, but I have no idea who it's by.
5. Currently Empty
6. Also Currently Empty

Movies:

I like a lot of movies, this box is far too small for this sort of thing... but I can tell you a few: GO, Empire Recods, Eurotrip, Rat Race, Star Wars, Underworld, Ghost World, Waiting.... and if you want to spend a couple weeks trying to figure this existance out, see 'A Home at the End of the World.' If you watch it and just don't get it, I feel sorry for you. If you watch it and really get it, and it doesn't make you rethink your stance on life, then I am not worthy.

Television:

L O S T, Avatar, the Last Air Bender, Will and Grace, Comedy Central Presents, Weeds, Dead Like Me, Futurama, Star Trek, Teen Titans, Wonder Falls, Windfall, Grey's Anatomy, and the Loop (which is fortunately coming back in January, thanks to Fox actually NOT cutting a good show for once(!))

Books:

The Xanth series and the Incarnations of Immortality series by Piers Anthony, The Magic the Gathering series of novels, A host of other sci-fi/fantasy novels by authors like Warren Murphy, Molly Cochran, and Janny Wurts to name a few. Also, everyone should read the Celestine Prophecy at least once.
