The illegitimate stepchildren of Dolly Parton and Pink Floyd, Peeps velvety roots and syndicated hooks are less country and more (mid) western. Their songs, crafted over their ten-year career, favor the big note rather than a lot of little ones while mixing a sonic stew of melody and tension.
