Born David Ruiz in San Francisco, Genetics The Untangible has always been around music. His father and his uncle were in a group together and were popular locally appearing on the radio and local television stations. With that being around him, he was influenced to be involved in music someway. he was heavily into Spanish music as a youth, but while still in elementary school, he was introduced to Hip Hop by his older cousin Vanquish. With Vanquish being by his side, he was introduced to groups and MCs such as Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Rakim, Canibus, Kool G Rap and D.I.T.C. to name a few. Once in middle school, genetics began to write. Although he wrote for a while, he didn't begin officially rapping until he was a freshman in high school with Vanquish formerly known as The Spellbinders. As a group, they began to rhyme over beats made by Vanquish's friend and made a demo. Realizing that they needed work lyrically, they constructed their lyrics in a different form as time went by. As their style changed, they changed their name to something more suitable to the new style. That is why they are known as Raw Dismemberment. Their lyrics consist of raw battle rhymes with metaphors and similes in a true lyrical form like an early Canibus. they currently are working on their debut album entitled Remains Of The Unholy scheduled for a release in 2008. While working on the album, Genetics began to produce and slowly progressed his style. He has been told he sounds similar to a young Stoupe from Jedi Mind Tricks. His style sounded unique compared to anyone else from the Bay Area or from California in general and that is what caught the attention of the independent label Raw Poetix. They liked his style so much, that they bought an albums worth of beats for several different on the record label. He is now an official producer on the roster that will continue to provide production for the label's artists. expect to hear production and rhymes from Genetics The Untangible in 2008 in several different projects including Raw Dismemberment's debut album and 3 albums coming out on Raw Poetix...
