Influences: Grew up on a steady diet of 2Pac, Wu-Tang, Outkast, Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony, John Coltrane, and Bay Area staples such as E-40, Mac Mall and Spice-1, throughout the years, have digested the likes of De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Common Sense, The Pharcyde, Cypress Hill, Madlib, Jay Dee, Slum Village, Aceyalone, Freestyle Fellowship, Zion I, Murs, The Grouch, Living Legends, Del, Dan the Automator, Black Eyed Peas, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Blue Scholars, Bambu, Biggie, Nas, Atmosphere, MF DOOM... and the list goes on.
When I first started making beats, I wanted to be Jaylib, I was inhaling everything Madlib and Jay Dee put out, and DJ Premier and Pete Rock too. Those guys could do everything! And I've also come to really appreciate the versatility and sustained excellence over multiple genres that guys like Will.I.Am, the Neptunes, Dan the Automator, RJD2, 9th Wonder, Danger Mouse, and Mark Ronson, all have.
