Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain!
My desire is to give off a radiant glow of energy that encourages and comforts all I come in contact with....some days I think I am more successful at it than others. I love it when I unintentionally meet other people with that same desire. It isn't something they have to tell you, it is just something that you sense. I enjoy being around people that "just get it".....when silences need no explanation, and just being together is fun. I don't enjoy feeling like I have to entertain people, although there is usually never a dull moment. I also love inside jokes! I have lots of them....sumo wrestling; that is funny today; abort, abort; wuchoo doin later?
Music can provide such a release of emotion in soooo many ways. One being in its creation and performance, another in just sitting and listening quietly, and another in singing along and dancing!
My favorites:
Forrest Gump,
Adaptation,
21 Grams,
Pulp Fiction,
A Clockwork Orange,
American Beauty, and
The Notebook!
Prison Break..........what can I say, have you seen Wentworth Miller???
The Audacity of Hope, Nine Stories, The Great Gatsby, Seven Story Mountain, Junky, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Girl Interrupted, Walden and sooooo many more.......literature was another one of my favorite pastimes, before I had kids! :)
Philanthropic people who realize that we know the cure for the number one killer in the world.............hunger!
