I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Let's keep this simple.
My name is Jenn, I am 23 and live in DC. I'm a graduate of Towson University's Class of 2007. I majored in mass communication and I now work at AAAS as a publications assistant for their science news service. I've always been the quiet type, but once I get to know someone I'm very friendly and open. I get along great with my family and I'm really close to my sister, Kath. I have a wonderful boyfriend named Antti. We met in October 2006. I have many piercings and tattoos and I'm not sure if I'll get more of either. Politically I'm liberal, especially where women's rights and gay rights are concerned. I consider myself a feminist. I love hockey and tend to get very fanatical when watching games involving teams/players that I like. I am a fennofiili -- in other words, I'm interested in anything and everything about Finland, Finnish people and Finnish culture. I could totally see myself living there someday. I'm happy with my life and I'm really excited about the future. If you want to know anything else, ask me... I might get back to you.
I love my two best girl mates in the world, Tish and Alma. Together, we are the Marauders:

My Interests

Hanging out, dabbling with Finnish things (people too.. hmm), rocking the fuck out in my car on the bus/subway, lying in other peoples' hammocks, working on my anti-tan, getting hot and bothered, going insane at hockey games, traipsing through the city, asking to see the wine list, making snarky commentary, procrastination, thinking hypothetically, silliness, sex and sexuality, writing, gonzo journalism, the fine arts, snark, Ville Hermanni Valo, concerts, loud music, sex toys, relationships, naptime, body modification, androgyny, vampires, California, Harry Potter, pro hockey, all of Europe, not too much eye makeup, Gary Lunn.....

I'd like to think I'm open-minded, so the list could very well go on!

I'd like to meet:

I don't know. Humans, I guess. Humans with similar interests that might want to be my friend.

Ville Valo, Mikko Paananen, Mikko Lindström, Janne Puurtinen and Mika Karppinen. Teemu Selänne. Timo Timo (again)and Jyrki 69 (again). Joulupukki. Porot (which aren't human, obviously).

Heroes:

I do not idolize. I only admire, respect and/or lust.

Trite as it sounds, though, I do really admire my mom and dad, my grandparents, my sistah, my best friends and my boyfriend too. They've all done amazing things that make me proud of them, and have made my life a lot more complete by being part of it. Aw.

Gimme danger

My mind is ill at ease, for everything shrouded in the night's darkness looks different in the unforgiving light of day. The hormone fog is thick, too.
