Dade County 305Coming up wasn’t easy for Yogi growing up in a Haitian household especially with a single parent struggling to raise three kids while maintaining the expenses. Growing up him and his siblings rarely ever had the best of anything but all his mother could afford. Yogi was a troubled teen growing up without the dominate male presence in his life, so that forced him to look outwards to the streets for guidance. With the Hip Hop culture vastly taking of the streets Yogi used music to vent some of his early frustrations. When kids would tease him in school he would verbally attack them in such a way no one could argue that his vocabulary was farther advanced than the average teenager. This is where Irvin (alias) Yogi picked up his rap. As time progressed he began writing about the lifestyle of the streets. With a lot of time on his hands he was making money working, hustling, trying to make ends meet. He became addicted to the fast money and forgot about rapping all together.
At the age of 18 Yogi had his first child and decided to slow down, leaving the streets alone. After 8 years of hard work, getting his life together and 4 kids later with the year now being 2006 Yogi felt like his life was missing something, he was missing his music. Yogi is now preparing to embark on the journey of his music career. Yogi is now on his mixtape volume 2 which consists of industry beats as well as his own exclusive tracks. The passion he had for music and rapping never went away it just took a long vacation. So now at a stable point in his life, Yogi the Haitian kid everybody talked about is ready to grab the music industry by the horns and show the world what Yogi has to offer.
