Crystal [Still Free]

I still stand by my convictions and I'm completely proud of the life that I've set myself up to live. I'm saddened by all of the people who have come into my life and left just as quickly. If you plan on earning my compassion, please take me seriously and be able to rear your morals.I have come to realize that there are few people who know what true love is, and instead focus on getting laid the instant that they start dating somebody. I HATE hearing about relationships that started over Myspace because I know that they won't last half as long as these people expect them to. And what I hate most is the fact that I've been screwed over by one of my best friends over stupid baloney (bologna, if you're nasty) like that.Once upon a time I had a best friend who was super rad, had not a care in the world and was completely uninterested in impressing other people. One day, he changed his mind and decided to sell out, get engaged (to an obsession of his), move away (and never come to visit) and thus completely remove himself from every aspect of my life. Obviously this was not all in one 24 hour span...but that's not the point; it was rapid enough to feel like one day. One day i tried getting in touch with this friend and was met with defeat. He now works for THE MAN in a starbucks in the middle of chicago...is an artsy fartsy with his artsy fartsy "wifey"...and is completely uninterested in having any friends who have vaginas, apparently because it wouldn't be fair to said "wifey"i guess you could call me bitter. i think that's a fair compromise, though.
