Professional Background: My name is Shanda Sealey. Me and my partner and lifelong sister Sylvia Morehead launched Platinum Queens after years of working in the music industry. Our mission was and continues to be to empower those in the entertainment industry.
Mission: Our mission is to empower women in all industries music, fashion, retail, radio, marketing, promotions, t.v. media, writers etc. Platinum Queens is determined to empower women, by encouraging and supporting our peers in every endeavor that they are currently on throughout their respective journey. We encourage women to OWN there own businesses, and not allow society to define their self worth by this male dominant society. It's NOT about male bashing it's about empowering women. when you empower a WOMAN you EMPOWER the WORLD!!!
Background: I've worked for a major distribution company which allowed me to network with everyone in the music industry. I've worked for some big names and indie artists. My heart is with the indie artists, because they have the voice they just don't have the resources. I love "breaking" new artists. However, now my primary focus is on the Non-Profit sector, as well.

Personal Background: I can get along with everyone. I am very loyal to my family and friends. But remember I am a Gemini, so don't cross me! J/K
Personal Education: I pursued Psychology, however I felt as if on the job training was more important in the music business. And I was right. I believe that my community activism with Magic Johnson Foundation, L.A. Housing (Correspondence Secretary) for Low Income Families and other National Organizations will suffice for now.
