About Me

Short version: I am an Irish Reconstructionist Warrior and Druid.

Warrior:

"Truth in our hearts, strength in our arms and fulfillment in our tongues." - Caelte (Acallam na Senorach)

Druid:

"As the Druids were to their tribes we too must become advisors; not just for the good of the tribe, but for the good of the truth that we hold dear; the good of the truth that leads us to understand the Gods. That is what defines a Druid." - Blackbird (Druids Defined: A Reconstructionist Druid's Commentary)

My Interests

Anything Irish related from mythology to language to instruments. Also, anything general Celt related.

I'd like to meet:

Like minded Pagans. I am looking for scholastic and thought provoking conversation about any subject related to paganism. I am not, however, looking for a sob story about why you don't have time to study, but you feel you are a "Witch, Wiccan or Druid" because you read the back cover of some new aged book. Fluffy bunnies, love & lighters, and new agers need not apply.

Music:

Laura Powers (www.laurapowers.com), Wendy Rule (www.wendyrule.com), Loke E. Coyote (www.wiccabilly.com),Witchvox Pagan Musicians (http://www.witchvox.com/_x.html?c=music)

Movies:

In Search of Ancient Ireland - PBS, The Celts - PBS mini-series

Books:

Druid Priestess - Emma Orr, The Ancient Celts - Barry Cunliffe, The Celts - Nora Chadwick, Art of the Celts - Lloyd and Jennifer Liang, Druids, Gods and Heroes From Celtic Mythology - Anne Ross, The Course of Irish History - Moody/Martin, Pre-Christian Ireland - Peter Harbison, A Dictionary of Irish Archaeology - Laurence Flannagan, 1000 Years of Irish Poetry - Kathleen Hoagland (ed), http://sacred-texts.com/neu/celt/index.htm, http://www.ucc.ie/celt/publishd.html http://www.maryjones.us/ctexts/index_irish.html, http://craobhcrua.org/, http://www.ncf.carleton.ca/~bj333/folklore.html, http://www.rootsweb.com/~irlkik/ihm/iremaps.htm, http://www.pbs.org/wnet/ancientireland/lessonplans1.html, http://www.ireland.com

Why?

There are those that think my asking for references is excessive. It is funny to me that the path of a Druid is to find truth, but asking how and why is rude, attacking or simply wrong. We are not sup...
