Restlesslist are set to release their second single ‘Dirty Pint’ on Life is Easy Records on Monday 8th October. The track is taken from the bands debut album “The Rise and Fall Of The Curtain Club†which is out in January 2008. This is the follow up to last years mixmag top 50 single of the year, Butlin Breaks.Dirty Pint and its b-side Mint Sauce involve chat show theme tune muzak, with twisting horror fun fair structures sequencing into hand clapping sound track instrumentals. They are the sort of band that seem to have the perseverance to elevate such a practice of arsing about to artistic levels and create blurry yet crunchy dance-scopes that round up a world full of genres.Restlesslist’s development has seen them expanding from roots in bedroom Lo-Fi as a two piece featuring Matt Thwaites (Electric Soft Parade) and Ben Elliot, creating collages from keyboards, guitars, found samples and broken beats, into a full band adding Tom White (Electric Soft Parade and Brakes) and the band Zettasaur. The band have built up a loyal following due to playing their own gigs the length and breadth of the country and touring with the likes of Battles, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Actress Hands, Mystery Jets, Misty’s Big Adventure, Electric Soft Parade and Brakes.

ACTRESS HANDS
Influenced by bands such as The Vaselines and The Pastels, Actress Hands sharpen the edges of their Glaswegian indie heroes naïvely blissful pop. Theyve built themselves a reputation for joyous harmony singing (evoking comparisons to Teenage Fanclub / Beach Boys) alongside glorious guitars (in the Guided By Voices / My Bloody Valentine vein) and striking tempo-changes. Actress Hands have since been proving that theyre as prolific as they are eccentric. The band have finished mixing their debut album "Boys Need Jazz" and it can be found in all good record shops as of now!

MY LITTLE PROBLEM
My Little Problem originated in Simon Janes' bedroom, where his experiments in the low-fi Indie genre saw releases by Becalmed Records/Intercontinental Records and airplay by the late John Peel. His love of producing led to the setting up of Homesick Studios. Simon's involvement in 100 Pets (Pickled Egg) and Bonobo (Ninja Tunes) made him realise it was possible to take his studio recordings and form a band. When asked to play a gig at Brighton Live, he turned to his friends for help. Simon met Sam in 2003. They dated for a year and she sang on a couple of studio tracks. Reluctantly at first, she agreed to do the live show. Laurence, Will and Ben had all worked with Simon in previous projects - Channel Light Vessel Automatic and Bonobo. The base of the band was formed. All that was needed now was a drummer and bassist. As luck would have it, Simon found a drummer in his communal back garden, already playing in a country band. He agreed to help out. Then Ben brought in Andy, a Brighton Hip-Hop producer and bassist to play bass. Sam met Kerry at a temping job and then there were eight. They took the base of the songs and worked their magic creating a whole new sound. The band, who are all multi-instrumentalists, played the gig and loved the sound so much that they decided to become permanently involved. The band are relasing their debut album "All These Things" on sept 24th.
