About Me

cheering for the bad guy first saw the light of day in a grain elevator in dawson creek, british columbia, in spring of 2004. since then, the group, in a variety of subtly shifting formats, has been playing sheldon’s tunes to a variety of venues. from basement bars in wasagaming, to overcrowded punk houses in interior bc, to winnipeg’s pyramid cabaret, the tunes have spoken for themselves.
with a stable core of musicians culled from the winnipeg music scene, the band recorded their debut self-titled disc in a basement in the city’s north end, over two afternoons, in the fall of 2007. craig boychuck (head hits concrete, greg macphoerson, etc) did the mixing in February of 2008. guitars, banjo, dobro, mandolin, & harp all make their presence known on the recording, which will be available this summer as an independant release.
presently, the group is looking for bookings, & plans on playing a variety of venues across manitoba this summer. email [email protected] for info! see yall there!
